blog8: english classes

My experience in online english classes this semester has been really great! i enjoyed the space the teacher gave to the participation and active learning. when i was stressed by other classes, i liked that in english the academic load was lower and much more interactive! i enjoyed do the blogs and reading yours, was fun and the english language was around my head all day.
However, i have to admit that in a few ocations i used the google translator :sss this is because my level of english is still poor. My pronunciation its poor too, so im thankful for the opportunity of the videos. I could improve in all the aspects of the language, but i think my biggest fault is the pronunciation. When i did the videos, sometimes i had to repeat it several times for the same mistakes.
These days i use english only for classes, i am not consuming much content in english except music. Well, my little sister is a mega fan of the Marvel Universe haha so almost everyday i watch a movie with her. I also talk sometimes with a friend who is a studies english pedagogy and like a funny exercise, we write messages in english or spanglish. We send each other english memes too.
About the importance of learn english language, i think its very relevant these days. I would like to visit differents countrys and cultures and for that i have to learn the idiom and above all, have a good pronunciation. i appreciate the interest of the teacher for this aspects.

musik

helloo, today i will talk about a music band.
i dont have a favourite singer or band right now so i chose a random spotify group haha: Tame Impala. In fact they are very famous and important in rock and psychodelic music of the last decade. I started listening to them since they became popular, around the year 2012. I was still a child and i listened with my father. The first song i heard was "Mind Mischief".
they have four albums: Innerspeaker (2010), Lonerism (2012), Currents (2015) and Slow Rush (2020). Each one has a different vibe, but are all really great and recommended! Lonerism and Currents are the best ones. I couldn't decide which of the two is better. Lonerism is the rock side of the group, and Currents its more pop.
my favourite song of them is The Less I Know The Better. i think its a song that has to be in the playlist of my life. In 2015, when the song came out, i was insaane, i heard it a lot. But, the last year i heard it so much too, because i heard it at the disco, and it was a crazy moment.
so, this band brings me many good memories : great times with my father in childhood, in puberty, and now again.
pd: another weird anecdote with this song is that a few months ago i have an accident and was very painful. one thing i remembered that strikes me is that in the ambulancy that song was playing, the less i know the better. it was very ironic that in such a bad moment, one of my favorite songs of all time was playing.

Postgraduate Studies

I'ts hard to think in future things because it's so out of our hands, many things could happen in the road, especially the case about the studies and laboral opinions. In fact, the things i was thinking about a year ago have radically changed. But, i think many of us have realized that if we want to have a good work field, we must study more than undergraduate, as professor Isla once said. So, if i got the chance to take postgraduate studies, i would think first in what job as a anthropologist i would like to do.
I would study some about sociology like the problems about social injustice to the poor and marginalized people or indigenous rights. I imagine that the subjects it will cover will be ethnography, epistemology, sociology and things like that.
I would like to study in another country, perhaps in a prestigious european or gringo university (because we know that prestige is what sells the most) or maybe other latino country where anthropology is more important and I can stay and work (like Mexico, Perú, Argentina idk). I have thought a lot about this last idea of migrating to another Latin American country, and I would like it very much. I think that actually studying a postgraduate degree would help me a lot to create job ties elsewhere. I would prefer a part-time course or with blended system for time and money purposes.

I hope everyone is well, and that we can work whatever we want   💋

blog 5: my future job

hii, talk about job is very difficult, i could answer many things and at the same time, not answer anything at all. In this moment i'm study anthropology and i will focus in the social mention, but for me the labor field is still a mistery. However, i'm not preoccupied in that because is a future thing and maybe i will study something else, or maybe working in others thing not relationated with what i'm study, idk, many things could happen, i'm focus right now in just finish the career and see what happens in the road.
But, i'm pretty sure of the reasons why i´m study this career, however are general things (but important), so i could respond a general answer of the job i would like to do. About the salary, its a difficult thing, because i could respond that i'm not interesed in money, but no one lives without it. However, its not my goal to be rich, or wealthy, or something like that.
In a social idealistic view, i would like to help people, build (or destroy) a new Chile or Latinoamerica, without injustice or inequality. If in any way i'm helping with that, i would be happy. But in a individual view, i really like freedom and autonomy (in this case, i would like to travel a lot and be outdoors). So, i live in this duality. The perfect job for me will be a job that includes these two things.
In other hand, talk about happiness and job like they were one thing, its too unreal. maybe i will end up being a drogadict, and its nothing wrong about it.

blog 4. best movie

For this blog i have chosen a movie that i saw in this quarantine, and represent to me a extraordinary and beautiful world called Studio Ghibli. They are very famous and recognized around the world for their particular and impressionistic art mixed with all this japanese things like the food, the myths, religion, spiritual criatures, funny and surrealistic storys, and other stuffs that results in a unique style of movies. The movie i like the most right now from Ghibli universe is The Princess Mononoke. I mostly like this movie because the criatures and the ecologic argument that it brings. The movie caricatures really well and in a beautiful form the importance of the balance that we as humanity must have with the Nature. Is for this reason that my favourite character is the Deer God, because he represent the wisdom of the animals and the forest. He has the wisdom of a god, but not so the supremacy.
The movie lasts a little over the two hours (134 minutes). I don't watch it to often, however i would like to see it many times more, because the Ghibli movies are really good and are a shelter in this confinement situation.

quarantine activities

At the beginning, for me it was very difficult staying at home, because i'm a person who like to be outside and ride on my bikee::(( in fact stills affects me, but not like the firsts weeks. I´m in quarantine since the virus came in the country, so i think that in the middle of march. I try to make me a sleep routine but is so difficult, so mainly in quarantine i sleep a lot (until the lunch time). Then I do the housework to be free of tasks. Frecuently i studied the piano keyboard (mostly songs i like), watch Naruto Shippuden, that is my first look to the anime world, and i really like it. Also, i try to be in constant physical movement, clean my anxiety, clean also the room, and exercises of body posture. I read mostly the university things and haven't time for read my bookss, that stresses me a little bit, but i try to deal with the online classes. The books are reading now are Rayuela (like the teacher) and a anthology of Nicanor Parra.
Recently I created a Instagram account (i dont have any) for to be in contact with friends, so i share a lot memes. I also take advantage of family time, because in the year i dont have so much time in here, because i'm traveling to Santiago. To finish, another activity that helps me to mental health is to discover new music, i like it really much and is my 24/7 job. Lately, i listen the argentinian actual music, like trap, indie, neo soul, and that kind of stuff. In conclusion, i have a lot of "trying's" but i think that is the key to be focus in not to falling down.👁️

the best concert 4 me

My favorite concert was Roger Waters, at the Estadio Nacional, towards the end of 2018. My favorite band of all time has been Pink Floyd. Currently, I don't listen to them as much, but their albums will always represent for me the greatest fanaticism. At my age it is impossible to see them together, since they separated a long time ago, but the closest way is Roger Waters, the bassist of the band that plays the greatest hits of the albums The Dark Side of The Moon and The Wall. His concerts are also cataloged as the best that exist today (almost in rock scenario), Roger Waters is one of the creators of the concert as a great show of pyrotechnic, technological attractions and other artistic artifacts.
For me, the concert was a whole experience, first of all it was the first time I went to Santiago, it was like the first taste of what was coming to me the following years in the university. The atmosphere of the concert in general was calm, it is understood because it's progressive music. There were many people at the stadium, and a lot of smoke👽👽. The concert was like a movie, it was my dream since I was little boy, I always wanted to hear those songs ever live. The sound was immersive and of first quality. It was a psychedelic trippp. Perhaps if I could object to anything from the experience, it was that I was alone (ooh), and I would have liked to be with someone I loved.
I was very rapt to take photos, so I decided to buy a shirt as a souvenir. That is what I have with the ticket. Here I found it!

In fact, I really like traveling. So, my objetive in general is not only going to Paris, it is to transform traveling as a lifestyle (if the economy and destiny support me hehe). But, I chose Paris in specifically because, for me, it has a strong emotional bond since I got interest in arts and literature. In a few words, Paris invoke me in a world and poetic scenario that inspired me, in adittion to the point that in anthropology, France was the cradle of the science. Besides, is special because my favourite book (Rayuela, of Julio Cortázar) is based in a Parisian history. Julio Cortázar is my favourite author in the moment too, I know that he lived in Paris for a large time, well, actually a lot of philosofers, artists and poets lived in the city, because historically, the city is the centre of the enlightenment thinking and the Revolution of the Ideas.
In my nomadic dream, I would like to study there, and really just enjoy the parisian life, why not, for a time.
I hope that all of ours travel spectatives make it truth, and, why not, meet us in the way.⬲
